If I did get an apprenticeship in the current climate when would I be starting?

You would need to talk to your employer and your training provider about this. Ultimately, it’s down to your employer as they pay your wages.

Is it still possible to start a new apprenticeship?

Yes. Some employers are still hiring using virtual recruitment techniques. That said, it’s highly likely that Coronavirus will lead to a slow-down in the employment market for some months - don’t get downhearted as everyone is in the same situation. Whilst this feels like a long time to be stuck at home, it’s only a small percentage of your working life so do all you can to keep perspective about the longer term. Use this time to think hard about your skills and potential; and what you want to do next. Be ambitious for yourself and spend time honing your CV to be ready for when things get back to normal.
